Sudara Sips: Turmeric Tonic

Today’s Turmeric Tonic recipe comes to us from our dear friend, Paula Watts.  She recently returned to the States after several years living in India. And, you may recognize her name from our social media or blog photos — she’s the talented photographer behind the photos of the amazing women at the Sudara sewing centers! In addition to her photography adventures, she also loves to cook.

We are excited to bring you this recipe for a “western smoothie with a touch of India” and to share other India-inspired recipes from Paula’s recipe box soon. We often make this tonic for breakfast or to drink post-workout. The combination of protein powder and nuts keep us full all morning and the turmeric provides great anti-inflammatory benefits.  Thank you, Paula, for sharing this recipe and your beautiful photography with us!
