Sudara Stories: Logana

We love sharing stories of the women who, as part of a skills-training program, sew together Punjammies®. The Sudara Stories series highlights a few of these strong, amazing women. Today, we are honored to introduce Logana.

Logana’s Story of Hope and Freedom

When Logana’s husband died, she became a widow at a very young age. Logana has a young son and was desperately looking for work that would allow her to independently support herself and cover the costs to send her son to school. She was brought to one of our partner centers by a friend and with the help of others enrolled in a Beautician Course. Immediately after graduating, Logana opened a small beauty parlor in her house and began to work part-time at another salon as well. With the combined money she gets from her small business and her part-time job, she is able to comfortably sustain herself and send her son to school.

Thank you for investing in and empowering women like Logana to create a new life for herself. You can read more Sudara Stories here. And, find the Punjammies® we named in honor and celebration of Logana here.
